TOURIST INFORMATION

1. CUSTOMS
Petea is one of the points of entry in Romania from Hungary. It is located in the North-West of Romania, 8 km from  Satu Mare and it is a road route.
                                                        
Bors, located 5 km from Oradea border on DN1 highway, you can go on road or rail route.
Curtici, located near Arad, 12 km from it, the only way through is by rail.
Nadlac, 15 km from Arad, is the most important border crossing for cars between Romania and Hungary.














2. AIRPORTS

The most important international airports in Romania are: Otopeni - Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timişoara, Arad, Sibiu opened 24/7.


 










3. HOTELS and RESTAURANTS

All the hotels are open 24/7, they are from 2 to 5-star categories, prices are acceptable and many are located in city centers, but also at the periphery.
Endowments: luxury rooms, double or single rooms, restaurant, clubs and spa centers.

The program of most restaurants is from 8.00 to 22.00, but some are open 24 hours. Menus contain Romanian cuisine, international and vegetarian meals. They usually accept VISA, Eurocard, Mastercard, American Express.

4. SHOPPING
MALLS and SHOPPING CENTERS

Real –hypermarket, Kaufland, Cora, City Center, Euromoll
Schedule: Monday-Saturday: 7.30 – 22.00 and Sunday: 7.30 – 20.00. You can find all types of products there: food, clothing and footwear, cosmetics, Home Supplies, plumbing.











TOWN SHOPS

Most of the shops are opened from 9:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and from 9:00 to 14:00 on Saturday. They are closed on Sunday.


5. MUSEUMS

Museums, memorial houses, castles, are opened from 8:00 to 17:00  and they are closed on Mondays.




















6. CHURCHES AND MONASTERIES
They are open from 7.00 to 21.00, every day of the week. There are churches of various denominations: Orthodox, Greek Catholic, Roman Catholic, Reformed, Pentecostal, Baptist, etc.

















7. HOSPITALS and PHARMACIES


All the hospitals are opened 24 hours a day. The pharmacies are opened from Monday to Friday 8:00 - 18:00  and 8:00-14:00 on Saturday. Some of them are opened 24/7.     













8. CAR SERVICE



If you have problems with your car or want to clean it, you can find many service stations  opened from 7.00 to 22.00, but most are closed on Sundays.








9. Currency and Banks

 

The Romanian Leu (plural: lei ) is the national currency of Romania and it is subdivided into 100 bani (singular: ban).




All the banks are opened only from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 17:00.



10. Post Office




The Post Offices are opened from 8:00 to 20:00, from Monday to Friday and 8:00 to 14:00 on Saturday.
